AutoCAD P&ID, reducing time by 42% realizable

Independent research of AutoCAD P&ID has shown that a time reduction of 42% is realizable per project. The ease of use and the familiar AutoCAD interface, which is known to many users worldwide, has as a result that AutoCAD P&ID is the first solution ever that makes this reduction possible. This by Autodesk ordered research, which shows enormous trust in their own capability, is performed at several larger and smaller companies worldwide who create piping and instrumentation diagrams for design, revision and maintenance.

During this research, based on a semi complex P&ID, contestants were asked to perform several tasks they perform on a daily base using regular AutoCAD and AutoCAD P&ID. Next to that the contestants also had to create listings based on the information in the piping and instrumentation diagram. These listings had to be changed and modified externally and the process and instrumentation diagram had to be updated with this altered information. Changing the schematic, using AutoCAD P&ID, already made it clear that every user was 35% quicker in doing regular tasks on the drawing. If we take also the powerful functionality of im- and export of data in consideration, then a reduction of time up to 42% is realizable.

If we take in consideration that AutoCAD P&ID can be used for regular AutoCAD tasks, which means that you still can perform your ordinary AutoCAD work, there is no reason why you should not cross grade to AutoCAD P&ID. Even if you create a process and instrument diagram once in a while it is still worth it to give it a try, you can also benefit from the powerful functionalities of AutoCAD P&ID.
